BrainwashedI sit alone in the room
blinded by the light
mortified, dead yet alive
I do not hear or see
feel nor fear
I just sit, staring
killing myself slowly
as the images on the screen pass by
I do not eat or drink
I just remain seated
The ruin is obviously all around
But I do not care
No, I rather do not long to care
And why should I?
Someone else will solve the problem
The government will save the world
While I do nothing
Except sitting
And staring
My neighbour is dying
That should make for a good Facebook post
But I won't help
Why should I?
I'm fine, so there is no problem
Oh, look
Another 18 children dead
Such a shame isn

I walk around
Aimlessly
Devoid of speech and sound
And snow is the only thing I see

I notice footprints in the snow
I turn around and gaze
And turn around once more, very slow
But what I see, it doesn't faze

The tracks in front of me
Are the same as behind
And what I should do, I don't
I don't have a destination in mind

I follow my own set of track
As it keeps leading me in circles, round and round
Strength is what I lack
I feel I'm lost, but never found

I fall down
Frozen and alone
The weight too much of this sinner's crown
And my heart freezes and turns to stone

Suddenly, out of the blue
Two arms lock me in

my loveHush my love
Shed no more a single tear
You have by far, cried enough
For those who at your sneer

Rest my love
Come, lie in my arms
I won't allow them to be rough
I'll protect you till my heart, your coldness warms

Sleep my love
Be free of this sinful place
Spread your wings and fly like a dove

Protect you from harmful stuff

Behind Each SmileBehind every smile is a web of lies
Lies that foster a healthy smile
Smiles that make the world go 'round
Round and round these grins do flourish
Flourish and bloom upon each face
Faces that day to day do lie
Lie to maintain their tortured smiles

Somewhere

The rain scent, the usual scenery
The dark surroundings, city light spreads
The sight of plane on my window
Passing by, without noticing

I grow weary by crying
Without any shoulder to cling on anymore
While mustering my last strength to walk
Memories of adolscence dreams drift slowly

What I want to do
What I want to become
Are that phrases still hold the meaning?
In the end, it's beyond my reach to decide

Just tell me I am a mistake
Laugh at me, pity me and turn your back
I am fed up with your sugarcoat words
Not even my thousand tears could make a change

Scattered thought, hungry soul
Too much things I was forced to unders

christmas at nightas is it on the roof
staring at the starry sky
and even though i spend christmas alone
i am not lonely
i see your name written
across sky
and your name is sighed
sighed on the wind
that gently caresses
my eardrums
i know i'm alone
but when i look sideways
i see you sitting
there, next to me, holding
my hands
your fingers locked into mine
and i gently kiss you
although i kiss the sky
i can feel your lips against
mine, pressing
lovingly, holding on to me
not wanted to let go, as
do i
and the nigh allows us to be togeter again
the moon gently
watching over us, smiling
as we look up at the sky
in each other's
embrace

I'll Make My Own WayBiting my lips until they bleed
Because there's no one here to kiss them
Sat in the dark because no one needs me with them
Trapped in a cold, dark padded cell
It's meant to be a refuge but it feels like hell
I need the key but I don't even know if there is one

You said it would be easier than this
I don't deserve any of this
Please can someone take me far away from this
Before there's nothing left of me

Because it's just me now
No one else to hold me tight
I'll sing the lullabies to myself
To help me get through the night
And if someone else comes along
To take me out of this place
I'll welcome them with open arms
And a smile

UglyIn a world filled with such a distorted and warped idea about the human body,
We forgot who we really are.
The ads on the television and the posters on the clutter filled streets
Are put up by vermin whose main goal is to make you think that you need products to become beautiful.
And maybe they have convinced you that you need to skip an essential meal to become Barbie.
Or that you require makeup to become presentable.
And in a world where role models are the weight of a five year old,
And people are so judgmental about what they see on the outside,
Our own ideas about true beauty become distorted
And a poisonous seed is planted in our brains

I found an angel today
Hurt…broken
She couldn't fly away
Yet not a word she had spoken
I took het in
And nursed her back to health
She saw herself, in the mirror, riddled in sin
Into oblivion she wants to delve
So beautiful, this angel, she was
But disgusted with her visage
So I spoke to her thus
That she was beauties' homage
An inspiration, a muse for beauties' art
But she turned away
With her suffering, she couldn't part
And in self-loathing, she did stay
I asked for her name
Cathrin came the reply
Cathrin I asked her all the same
Please tell me why
She listed the reasons, one after another
And my blood began to boil
Suffering and pain, not for everyone, but mostly for herself, she was a bother
And my head began to toil
I held her close
And held away her tears
And in my choice
Explained her fears
I taught her happiness
And showed her how beautiful she is
I tried filling the emptiness
Without any regret for this
She finally spread her wings
Her wounds completely healed
In angels voice she sings
As for pain I was her shield
Now she has left
She has flown away
My heart, her only theft
While I got left behind, to stay.

sometimes, when you have found true love, you also experience true happiness. the purest and most wanted form of love, and i am lucky to have found it. the only downside is that at the same time we fear to lose it again. this is based on the only fear i have.
